Thanks for the suggestions re: Xmas knitting. Am taking that approach w/ my son's fiancee. I'm giving her a skein of cream colored yarn with a promise to design a shawl just for her wedding. That way I don't have to be done until August.
Hope I prove that snarky and good natured can coexist...
